We all know this doe-eyed true Americana crooning about blank spaces and staring into sunsets. She started her career as a country singer at the age of fourteen in Nashville Tennessee. Always arriving in very feminine outfits even while in concert, her Met gala attire raised some eyebrows. She traded her red lips and eye makeup for berry lips and loads of black. So the question of the hour is, is Taylor Swift going goth?

Since 2007, Taylor has kept up her signature look of sequins, skater skirts, lace dresses and even jewelled headbands. No one would have guessed this coming with her always dressing in powder blues, pastel shades, pretty pinks and bright reds. The faithful paparazzi have caught her donned in all black sporting bleached hair and dark lips off late. Ranging from a black leather jacket and distressed jeans to a  black lace jumpsuit, she was also seen wearing a black goth-ish choker. She seems to be taking a leaf or two out of the goth bible. Looks like we’ve got a whole new Taylor.  Wonder what could have brought on this drastic fashion twist? Well it could be that she was getting a little too predictable over the years .

At the Met Gala 2016 she wore a silvery snakeskin cut-out panel mini dress and black lace-up shoes. Looks like the peachy princess is turning over to the dark side? Well some of her fans love it while others absolutely detest this latest Taylor fad. The theme of the gala being ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’ Taylor Swift was dressed to perfection. Whether it's just for a couple of months or if the look is here to stay, we hope that her fans come to terms with it or just shake it off.
